Starting life as a QS at the foot of the ladder and working my way up to point where I would progress no further in that environment, I took the step in 2014 to form my own company. Its one I don’t look back on with regret. During my ‘employed’ time I earnt respect from fellow Architects and QS’s as someone with the ability to deliver a project on time, to standard and where possible on or under budget. This is a philosophy I’ve brought forward to my own firm, and one I will
be passing on.
My staff share the same ethos - the job has to be done right, first time. This is a key factor and one of the reasons that our work is repeat business through agents and clients alike. Unlike my past, when I was office based, I now have an active on site role on many projects, especially in the early stages to ensure that they get up and running as planned. I was brought up never to expect someone to do something you wouldn't, do yourself now as a director of my own company with staff, I too opt for this philosophy - in most instances ill be on the front line assisting, participating or at least present for the key tasks
Over the past three years we have invested heavily in plant and equipment to allow us to do the work in house, our investment includes 9 and 21t 360º excavators which are equipped with hydraulic breakers, selector grabs and multiprocessing shears - all of which aide in our demolition and refurbishment sites, a market we are growing in.
Training is a vital part of our staff development. We use the best training possible with accredited courses such as IPAF, SMSTS, UKATA etc
